Assistante 3-6 ans anglophone

Hello, I’m Ana and I have joined École Montessori at Mont d’Or as an English-speaking Assistant in the Beavers Class with Laurie.
I was born in Mexico, where I studied Psychology. While I was studying I got the opportunity to have several internships in different fields which gave me a better idea of what I wanted to do as a psychologist. These experiences showed me that working with kids was the thing that fulfilled me the most. When I graduated, I got a job as an english teacher in a bilingual school and also to get a post in a Children Therapy Center.
Seven years ago I decided to relocate to France. I wanted to learn the language and get a Masters degree in Children’s development. I followed this plan for some years but when the Covid -19 pandemic and lockdown fell, I realized that I wanted to do something different, something more aligned with my beliefs and values. This took me back to a memory of an internship in a Montessori School in Mexico. After this significant memory and many hours of reflecting, I decided to pursue a degree in Montessori teaching. This year I am grateful to have received the chance to work with Laurie, the rest of the team and children.
Other than working with kids, you can find me in an upholstery workshop, playing and taking care of my cats and plants, or discovering new flavors fusions of international food
